For a small group we’re a damn active bunch!  We run car boot sales, organise flag days, go on sponsored walks, organise football matches, sell things made in Kenya in our Ebay shop and one brave soul even ran the Great North Run in his Superman Y-Fronts!!

There are so many ways that you could get involved with BASIK, from simply giving a small donation to getting sponsored to do something challenging (or silly!) or even organising an event to raise money.

If you’re planning on running an event or are getting sponsored for BASIK then let us know about it!  We love writing about all the things that people get up to and if you get us the information in time we’ll get your event listed in diary.

Some of the BASIK volunteers got themselves in the news over the summer by building a school from cardboard boxes in The Light in the centre of Leeds!  Check out the video below.

We are holding a sale at the Buttercross, under the clock in the market square in Otley from 10 - 2 on Saturday, 20th March. If you’re around please come and show your support!

Take on the 130 mile stretch of the Leeds Liverpool Canal for BASIK. The bike ride will depart from Liverpool on Friday 2nd of April (Good Friday), with this years theme being Super Heros. Last year 7 participants got into the Easter Spirit by dressing as lambs and chickens to raise over £1000 for Kilimani Primary School. For more details contact .
